Having suffered from balmy rosacea for a few years, I am always on the lookout for products to conceal the redness on my confront without making information technology look similar information technology has been dipped in pancake mix. This time that search led me to two makeup products from the Redness Solutions line by Clinique: the Targeted Corrector and the Instant Relief Mineral Powder.

Despite the style these two are advertized (helps skin "continue its cool" and reduces redness on contact) they do not reduce redness (at to the lowest degree, not on my skin); they but muffle it. Practiced enough for me, then let's get on with the review. 🙂

This is a yellowish concealer pen with a thick, gluey consistency. Information technology's pretty dry, so I would avert using it on the undereye area (luckily, this is the only part of my face that never gets red and bumpy like the rest!). The best office about this corrector is the swell coverage it provides — I have tried it both with and without foundation, and the redness was covered up pretty much completely in both cases.

Its weak indicate is that it makes enlarged pores stand up out even more (perhaps this could be fixed past using a primer underneath; I personally don't similar primers so I have non tried that) and accentuates dry patches if used on blank pare.

Instant Relief Mineral Powder

I take mixed feelings almost this one — on one hand, I hoped for more coverage, on the other, information technology looks and then natural no 1 can even tell you lot have it on.

This product works best every bit a finishing powder — information technology sets your makeup and absorbs the oil while covering upwards mild redness. Coverage is very sheer, and I like the natural finish. I don't recollect information technology could look cakey no matter how much of it you applied. I have oily skin, and I found that the Instant Relief Mineral Pulverization does not last as long as I'd like (up to iv-5 hours), only if you have dry peel, I think you lot will get meliorate performance out of it.

Apart from having rosacea, my skin is besides very sensitive and acne decumbent. Happy to study that this powder did non clog my pores or cause any irritation whatsoever. 🙂

Overall, I would say that the Instant Relief Mineral Powder does not conceal redness as much as a full coverage foundation would, but together with some lighter everyday makeup (such as a tinted moisturizer or a lightweight foundation) information technology tin can do wonders. I accept worn information technology on a blank face on days when I did not experience like putting on any other makeup, and although it does not cover up my rosacea, information technology does reduce it by quite a fleck.
